Sort By Name not working

Sort By Name not working

Among the products we offer in our shopping cart, we have scheduled classes that are named as follows: "01/04/2010 Medication - San Francisco, CA". The reason I started the product name with the date first, is that the most current classes would appear at the top. (Old classes are being archived, and no longer visible.)

But now we have (for instance) "02/22/2010 Medication" classes show BEFORE the January classes. In one instance (02/10/2010) it works okay (it's being tagged on nicely at the bottom), but all the other February classes are being placed up top, before the January classes. So for now, we archived all the faulty Feb classes, but we really need to get this fixed. The same issue happened one time for a couple of Nov '09 classes.

Any suggestions?
