can't install extensions

Hi - I recently updated to Windows 7 and had to do a clean install on my laptop. I am just now getting around to reinstalling my webassist extensions. I have tried to install 2 separate extensions and keep getting an error message. The first one said that the insert bar could not be updated and the extension would not be installed. The other said technical problem and to contact support. I donlt know if the 2 incidents and Windows 7 are related, but....
help.
