Multiple file upload

The number of files uploaded could be limited as well as size. I am investigatine a FLEX file upload system now and wonder if i can get some help integrating it into PG. It has a user table in the MYSql dB and it would be nice if the user could log into the PG and click a muliple file upload lin that would pass the session variables to the file management system. I am an older CF developer and am totally new to PHP so am looking for some coaching. I now the shared server must be running a peak to handle multiple uploads from multiple users and moving to a dedicated server can be expensive but there are some intermediate server packages that can be use.

Any help out there?
