eCart 5 beta question

Given that eCart 5 will only support PHP... will it be able to coexist with eCart 4? Basically can both versions be installed and functional at the same time?

I ask this because I will continue to use eCart 4 for ASP sites and move all PHP sites to eCart 5 and would hate to have to install / uninstall eCart 4 /5 depending on which I needed to use.
