There should be a dot release for your version. If you post a support incident they will be able to likely fix the problem without needing to update the product.
There are other features in the update that prevent us from giving it away for free to all of the previous version owners. We give a very generous upgrade price for existing customers and have made a lot of improvements. If it happens to fix this issue too I thought it might behoove you to update.
