I have been playing with the height attributes in the li and li span. Only the portions that had height from the original code. Sorry I am not being more specific. I am at work and forcing my self not to look at the code anylonger for fear of going crosseyed with frustration. At anyrate, if I correct the height for IE7 (25px)then I get a gap in Firefox. As of right now I have the height set to 15px and it shows fine in FF but overlaps in IE. I tried to split the difference but that just took me back to where I started. I should note that the menus appear to be fine in IE6.
I think the problem lies in that I changed the original top level menu pics from the glow buttons to beveled buttons. Which are shorter in height. I did not use the menu writer out of fear that it would jack up the dynamic code. Would it help if I reset the original code and enlarged the beveled button pics to the same height as the original glow buttons? Have I made you crosseyed yet? Thanks in advance for your help and advice.
