There is a template that comes with PowerCMS and can be used to add DataAssist functionality to, but that template is for the back-end. If you are trying to automatically generate front-end pages (what the user sees), you still need to create those and insert the include codes that PowerCMS generates - or add recordsets to based on if you do choose to use DataAssist to create additional means for managing content on your site.
I currently have a PowerCMS installation that is customized with DataAssist for various different purposes. For example, I use PowerCMS to handle areas on my pages that I update infrequently or is not time/date sensitive. I use DataAssist to create additional content management of items such as blog entries, photo of the day, or portfolio additions.
