Hi,

I do not create either the Thumb directory or the images inside it.

That is, I presume, done automatically by the File Manager, and as a part of its operations.
It seems to make that thumb-preview image of all files it uploads, presumably so it can provide them as selections in future manipulations within the HTML editor.

I can only assume that instructions for making those thumb images are somewhere within its configuration file.

Sorry, but that is all I can surmise. I do not know where or how those thumb images are being created, but it is not by me!!
