dreamweaver asking me to open a php doc when i already have one open

Recent PC purchase, so I reinstall Dreamweaver, xamp php v7.4 and latest version of DB v2.3.5

localhost tested as working fine and so are basic php pages.

However, if when I attempt to start the DataAssist interface from the webassist menu, dreamweaver throws me an alert informing me to open a php document first - despite a php doc already open
Whilst DW for some reason is not seeing the php doc present and open, i cant use any of my DataBridge tools.

I have created a site and i have a php document open in the same folder i want the DA pages to create.

Any thoughts?
