Can the WA_eCart_Database_PHP.php file be removed in MySQLi sites?

Ray,

Similar to the question I asked about the library file in this thread I have several sites that still have this file WA_eCart_Database_PHP.php located in the WA_eCart directory which do not have any references to it so I wanted to clean those up. But, there is a site that still references it on the confirm.php page. This site uses an older IPN method of checkout however the site has been updated to MySQLi. For some reason it still logs a depreciated warning for the class name and construct (lines 3 & 41 of the WA_eCart_Database_PHP.php file).

I read in this thread that you said it might be just as easily eliminated from the site if it was now MySQLi.
Is there anything I should test after removing that reference?
Is there any scenarios in a new MySQLi site, where that file would be generated and used in an eCart application?

Thanks,
TroyD
