URL problem

I launched CSS Menu writer 1 and changed the colours of the menus you have created in the PowerStore, and when I clicked OK a new thing appeared next to the menu in dreamweaver which was {}, however this didn't show in the browser. I tried to undo it, but no joy. Also, the repeating product categories under the product menu stopped working. So, I thought stuff it, copy code from the original file and paste it in to the products part of the menu. I managed to get that working correctly again, but remaining menus as a whole are not working correctly, I get the following...

A local url will look like this:

products.php (which is correct)

orders.php (which is wrong - extra slash)

The remote url will do the following:

products.php (which is correct)

orders.php (which is very wrong!! the actual web address disappears)

I have amended the globals file as instructed in the gsg to the following:

$WAGLOBAL_localRoot = "/website/"; (the site folder in my root directory)
$WAGLOBAL_remoteRoot = "/"; (as suggested by the gsg I think)

Any ideas as to how I can over come this problem?

Thanks.
