Internal Server Error

I have got an error when I upload my site to the remote server, the error is non-descript to say the least, so I am hoping you might shed some light on it.

the error is:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@website.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

I have friendly errors in IE switched off, I've looked in FF and safari, but nothing more than that is displayed.

It works on my local machine fine, I have input the correct database IP, name, password and username. One thing that is different is that the remote server wouldn't allow me to use a '-' in the naming of the DB so I have a different name locally to that remotely, but I have accounted for the difference in the connections file. I figure that shouldn't be the problem though as you supplied the site and sql that didn't match my local choice of DB name, yet that still works.

In the globals file, I have left the remoteRoot path as "/", as indicated in your guide because the files sit at the top of the site.

Got any ideas?

Thanks
