Site Wide Search Form Question

I have a search.php page with a search form that works for a particular recordset called "News" .

In the website navigation menu there a search button with a drop down search form where one can enter a search term which then takes the user to the search.php page.
However, when using this form with the code below does not initiate the search but only returns the search.php page with all the items.

<form name="search-bar" method="post" action="search.php">
<label for="search"></label>
<input type="text" name="WADbSearch1" id="search" placeholder="Search News">
<input type="submit" name="submit" id="do-search" value="Search">
</form>

Question: Is there a way to configure this to work?

Here is the search form on the search.php page which works.

<form name="form1" action="search.php" method="post">
<table cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0" border="0">
<tr>
<td align="right"><label for="Search">Keyword Search</label>
</td>
<td ><input type="text" name="Search" placeholder="Search News">
&nbsp;
<input type="submit" name="WADbSearch1" value="Submit"></td>
</tr>
</table>
</form

I am thinking I would need to add the MySQLi recordset and the MySQLi Search PHP codes to all of the pages (100+) in order for this work.

Thanks for any advice.
