Re: "Step 4: Delete entered email" in 'Web Development tutorial series: Add a subscribe/unsubscribe' feature

I only just today received a passingly coherent response to my message to Support of my mail company that handles the emails that PowerMessenger generates. The last part of what they say is:

"To investigate … could you please use the website and script to send an email to me at xxxxxxxxx ? Please let me know once the email is sent and I'll check on this. If this email can be triggered by me from your website, please point me to the website and I'll use it to send some test emails to me.

Unfortunately, the upgrade of my site to PHP 7.x and MySQLi has rendered PowerMessenger unusable, and I can no longer enter the admin backend to generate the said test emails so they can work on the issue I raised with them.

Please could you indicate to me how these can be generated, and so the company can investigate?

Thank you,
KB

(Reminder: my login name and password are hardwired in to a PHP script somewhere or other, and the email forward is then unable to do what it usually does, and put a more "friendly", not to say accurate, address as source of those emails. They instead stubbornly go out with my login name)
