date not saved correctly on update recordset

Hello,

I have 2 date form fields. On opening the update recordset page, date is shown as 04-30-2020 (from 2020-04-30 in db). If I do not change the date and update recordset, date changes to 1970-01-01 in db. This case is with both date feilds.

Php file attached.

Help appreciated.
