Just to add that I've also tried...

$InsertQuery->bindColumn("SMCuploadFILE", "s", "".$WA_DFP_UploadStatus["WA_UploadResult1"]["WA_UploadResult1_1"]["serverSimpleFileName"]  ."", "WA_DEFAULT");

...without success.
