Known issue (and solution) for Confirmation Emails Not Sending

On the User Registration page I have had to change the State, City, Country and Zip Code fields and validations (as all of those are wrong for we non-Americans). It took me ages to get it right and I would prefer not to have to do it again.

Can you please save me comparing lines and lines of code and let me know what the changes are so that I can fix my existing page?
