PowerCMS and Database Connectivity

We are attempting to apply PowerCMS to a clients website. They are hosted with GoDaddy and a database was successfully created on their hosted account. When we attempted to "Add content to PowerCMS" and filled in all of the credentials to connect to the database, we were unable to because of an error "an unidentified error has occured" GoDaddy walked us through a test of the credentials via a web browser and it connected just fine. Any thoughts to what might be happening?
