Ahhh OK, now i understand the problem a bit more.
You will need to get into the database and make some changes there for this to work. I strongly recomend backing up the DB before proceeding, just in case.
each Page Name | Content Area is given a unique ID
You can recreate a new Page Name | Content Area record on the insert tab, then you will need to go into the "contents" table and find the "ContentID" value for the record tha twas just created.
Now, open the "contenthistory" table, the "HistoryContentID" column is a foriegn key relation to the "contents.ContentID column, find the record histories that belong to the page that was deleted, and you can change the HistoryContentID value to the new one that was created to relate them.
This should allow you to retrieve the old content through the history page.
