PowerCMS "unable to handle request" when "browse Server" is selected/Inline editor not working

I just went live with a site, and when I did training with my client, 2 issues came up.

First, when I click "Browse Server" in Power CMS, I get an error that the server "can't handle this request" (see pic)

Second, the inline editor allows me to edit the text, but there is no html menu or ability to save the changes. (see pic)

any idea what would be causing these issues? I did check this on a couple of computers - same issues all around.
