Ray - you may be correct that the testing server I set up is not correct - when I set up a test php page in this new site and try to view it (using F12) I get the error messafe:

"HTTP Error 404.3 - Not Found"
"The page you are requesting cannot be served because of the extension configuration. If the page is a script, add a handler. If the file should be downloaded, add a MIME map."

The url that show in the address bar is "http://localhost/LD%20Project%20-%20New/Untitled-2.php" (my site name is LD Project - New)

Here is how I defined the site in Dreamweaver CS6:

Site Name: LD Project - New
Local Site Folder: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\LD Project - New\

Testing Server Basic Tab:
Server Name: LD Project - New
Connect Using: Local/Network
Server Folder: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\LD Project - New\
Web URL: http://localhost/LD Project - New/

Testing Server Advanced Tab:
Maintain synchronization information is checked
Server Model: PHP MySQL

I have not defined a remote server....

In Dreamweaver I attempted to set up a Dynamic MySQL database connection as follows:

Connection name: ldorders
MySQL server: localhost
User name: rdubill
Password: my password (entered my real one)
Database: ld_orders (the database I defined using MySQL Workbench 6.3 CE)

When I click on test I get the error message:

HTTP Error Code 405 Method Not Allowed

I get the same error message if I leave the database field blank and click on Select.

Suggestions???

Thanks in advance...
