Unable to style an image in the e-mail receipt?

I have Universal E-mail installed on a page and I have created a separate receipt page which is to be used as the template for the e-mail receipt.

I want to display an image within the receipt page but limit it's width to 100px however nothing I try fixes it and the image is always displayed at full size.

I've tried this:

<img src="image.jpg" style="width: 100px;">

...and this:

<style>
img {
width: 100px;
float: left;
margin: 0 10px 10px 0;
}
</style>

...on the e-mail receipt page but nothing changes. What am I doing wrong?

I attach the three pages in question and provide links to where this is happening in the private section below. Hope you can help. Thank you.
