How to create Search/Results/Detail pages with Data Assist and eCart

I have an existing Bootstrap page with Search field, plus Framework Builder themes.

How does the DA Search page integrate with an existing Search field? Does this have to be done manually?

Which wizard layout should I use for a Product Results list and Detail pages? Most of them look like admin pages. If they have to be edited manually, should I use Data Assist for this, or just create from scratch?

Can eCart be added to both the Results list and Detail page?

Will the Results and Detail pages automatically adjust when a theme is added?

I've searched the forums and tutorials, but none seem applicable.
