upload many images

i have a question, when we use to upload many images, for example: _MG_2605.jpg, this image is safe into the database, but the powergalery create many images as:_MG_2605_1024p.jpg, _MG_2605_999c.jpg, etc....

The problem is that we upload 1000 between 1200 each gallery, i want to kwonw if only the powergallery upload one foto and not create the other ones....we have complains for the space.
