Having trouble figuring what order to indert record AND update database

Hi,
Been here before i think but still does my head in! i have a form on page clubenquiry.php. when user fills in, i want it to go to return page (clubenquiry2.php) which will carry form content, confirm their input details and thank them.
in the process i want to
a) insert record into enquiry database
b) trigger email to me that there has been enquiry (with form content too)

currently i seem to be stuck with either inserting the record fine (but not posting form content to page 2), or posting content to page 2 but bypassing the INSERT RECORD function.

What is the correct order to do this with the Databridge tools?

THanks for your help as ever guys. You are awesome.
