Hoiw well does DataAssist scale?

I've been using ADDT and before that the Interakt products with Dreamweaver. I'm currently really having problems in that ADDT isn't scaling well at all with large databases. Checking my site, the problem appears to be the large number of Javascript and CSS files that are loaded to display the grid and populate widgets. I can run the MySQL query in phpmyadmin and get a result in less than a second, but the ADDT data grid can take over a minute (or more)before it displays anything

The database for the app is currently at 140,000 records and grows weekly. When a user logs in to view all of the records needed for reporting, they may be looking at 2,500 records or more, displayed in a data grid of 25 records per page. I like the functionality of the ADDT data grid, but the slowness is making it unusable.

I only own the WebAssist Google maps product, so I'm not familiar with the extensions. Does anyone use DataAssist with a large database, and does it scale well for display?

TIA,
john
