Dreamweaver CS6 crashing

I am having to go through the entire cart as I did not know that the ID identifier was crucial for the cart to work. So I have started by opening up the web page, going to Server Behaviour to go through the entries one by one. I add an Identifier and (such as ATTWN1957) - after I add three consecutive identifiers to three cart objects, Dreamweaver says there is a problem and it has to close down. If I save after each one, I can do ten before it decides to crash. Obviously with over 800 items this is extremely annoying. I didn't have the problem when I was actually entering the items to begin with, just now that I am updating them. Am using Windows 8.1 on a PC
UPDATE: I think I have found a solution to the problem: When I update the Add to Cart button with the identifier. Instead of clicking on OK after inserting the ID, I highlight the 'Name' field and then click OK - the problem appears to disappear! If it starts to go wrong again, I'll let you know. Thanks for your help with this matter
