Unable to Install PowerCMS on remote site following successful localhost installation.
Adding Design Extenders PowerCMS to an existing small site I was very happy to find all OK when testing using localhost.
I proceeded to upload all files to the remote host and opening the page I expected to be presented with the "Getting Started" screen when I open the first page (index.php)
But I get two warnings:
Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/fhlinux159/c/camacweb.com/user/htdocs/WA_Globals/WA_Globals.php on line 41
Warning: mysql_free_result(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/fhlinux159/c/camacweb.com/user/htdocs/WA_Globals/WA_Globals.php on line 67
No database selected
I set up one "Dynamic MYSQL Conection" file for both localhost and remote during the installation process which clearly work locally. However I noticed that an additional connection file has been created called "_PowerCMSconnection" which has duplicated credentials, not sure why, but I assumed all OK. I have also double checked the credentials used in the connection files which are all good.
When I tried to use ../install_cms or ...admin_cms the both took me to the Admin login screen and then subsequently to the same errors as above.
Not sure where to go from here??
Update:
Removed txt file from connections folder and got as far as step 4of5 when I get following error:
ERROR: Failed to save the settings in the database. Please verify your database connection.
Moving forward, still need help please.
Update2:
Imported sql script .../install_cms/scripts/db.sql ad all completed, WOW I surprised myself!
However what did I do wrong with the above procedure?
No longer urgent.
