In my case I don't want anyone to access any pages except Registration and LogIn (or failure to login) and so all of my pages should end in php and I should use the Access Pages Manager and set all other pages to "Logged in to users."

So, my index.php page will have the usual graphics and only a "Register..." and a "LogIn" link on it. Once a person successfully logs in they can then be redirected to something like "main.php" with its access set to "Logged in to users." Right?
