Integrating eKomi feedback into eCart
Our client is subscribed to Ekomi, the feedback/review people, and they offer front end integration of product reviews "in only 5 steps" which are as follows:
1) Selection and approach of eKomi online services
In order to integrate eKomi’s product review system in your frontend you have to approach the eKomi online services with the following GET-parameters:
http://api.ekomi.de/get_productfeedback.php
interface_id* - Your eKomi interface ID)
interface_pw* - Your eKomi interface password
type* - csv = RFC 4180 - comma-separated values (delimiter=, enclosure=")
product - A single product_id or the keyword "all"
2) Checkback signal of eKomi’s web services
eKomi’s web services will return a CSV after RFC4180(delimiter=, enclosure=") with the following items:
UNIXTIME,customer_id,product_id,rating,feedback
3) Save eKomi product reviews
eKomi advises to temporarily store product reviews for performance assurance in your data base.
4) Integration of eKomi product reviews
Following the retrieval of your database you are now able to integrate each individual feedback on the corresponding product page. Make sure that each product review is displayed on the appropriate product page. (Uniquely identified via product ID) By using this integration option is it guaranteed that Google is able to crawl the user generated content and your website will benefit also. Soon, you should be able to notice an increase in SEO traffic as well as conversion rates and revenues.
By special order eKomi will provide graphs (stars, logos, widgets) in order to display increase in conversion.
5) Is just some graphic displays of examples of the above integration.
Ekomi have also supplied the following PHP script sample (attached).
Is it possible to get this integrated with eCart? We have a product detail page at, for example:
http://www.ledwarehouseuk.com/LED-Lights-Bulbs.php?lbid=637
We'd like to display these reviews just below the product title but Ekomi are saying that they can't help us because eCart is our own scripts/application.
Hoping someone can help with this as I think it would be a real benefit to our client, and to anyone else on here that uses eCart and Ekomi.
Thank you.
NJ
PS. Here's an example of an existing website that integrates with Ekomi. We'd like to replicate this "star" review/s display on our client's website:
