HTML Editor Generating Bad Code

Dreamweaver CC 2014.1, Windows 8.1, Dell Inspiron with 8GB memory, etc.

Just last week I had no problem inserting the HTML editor into Data Assist insert and update pages. Then yesterday, the component went nuts, or something. I gave up after several hours, then tried again this morning. I got one inserted -- by using all default settings (no presets or customizations). Then it did it to me again when I tried the second one.

New to these Webassist components, I finally figured out what was wrong. The editor insert operation was leaving a remnant from the text area code:

<textar

And, at the bottom in the validation section, it was failing to include the opening PHP tag and the "i" in the first if statement. So, instead of ...

<?php if (ValidatedField('jobslistingsupdate','jobslistingsupdate')) {

... it generates only ...

f (ValidatedField('jobslistingsupdate','jobslistingsupdate')) {

Doesn't look like anyone else is having this problem, so I hope things will get better with the next version.
