Creating the actual database

Hi,

I see all these wonderful tools for generating the website pieces required for online catalogues etc. but I was wondering if there were any tools to help. Me create the actual database. I just don't understand what is going on with MySQL. I come from a FileMaker Pro background. I can visually create fields and add code within the DB to edit and format content. I think use FMStuidio to connected to the database and create record sets and dynamic pages that pull content from the Fikemaker database using PHP.

Does MySQL work similar or is is a completely different animal? The extra hosting costs for FileMaker make it too expensive for my smaller clients.... And most of my clients are small. I host my client websites on 1and1.com

So what I am really after is if WA has any tools to help create the MySQL database or is there some sort of visual tool I can use on my Mac that will help be create all my tables and fields required for a custom MySQL DB that I can access with DataBridge?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If anyone is interested in teaming up on a few tests that would be great.

The type of stuff I am currently building can be seen here...

These all use FileMaker on the back end... Hosted internally at my office.

Thanks.
