Double opt in email Verification Code line coming in multiples - error with user verify page.

ot past the email problem but now as I receive the emails it is received with multiples of the same Verification Code.

Then when i click on the any of the links i get the same error from any of the links pressed.

i have gone through the tutorial several times to make sure everything is set properly and in my thinking everything is correct.It originally looked like it was seeing the randomString column in the database but I triple checked that the spelling is consistent and it definitely is in the database and the registration process does write to it.
Any ideas?
