DataAssist Insert Date Format - ASP

I currently have an .asp form which requires the person to fill in their birth date. I am using Dreamweaver CS4 and MS Access Database.

When I created the Insert form, using DataAssist Wizzard, I noticed that after the form is created, I update the WA Insert Record behavior, that for the birthdate field, the data type is formated as Date MS Access. (If I change this to Date, then I get an .asp error)

What I have noticed is that without using your Validation Tool kit, when I submit the form, and view the results, i see this:-

Date Entered 15/03/1968 (ie 15 March 1968) - The data in the table shows correctly as 15/03/1968

Date Entered 09/03/1968 (ie 9 March 1968) - The data in the Table shows incorrectly as 03/09/1968 (ie 3 September 1968).

I tried to use the Validation Toolkit, where I chose to reformat the date to dd/mm/yyyy format. I found that this would work somewhat.

The form has many fields (it is a team registration form for a sporting competition). When I first added the Validation Toolkit, using only a small number of validations, it seemed to work ok. However, I noticed that after adding a number of different validations I got to a point where the form screwed up. These included the Date validations not working correctly, or on a number of occasions the actual Validation Toolkit broke (ie I went back into to modify an entry) however the toolkit showed NO validation entries (yet looking at the .asp code I could still see them on the page.

Anyway I have spent many hours trying to get this form working with all of the stuff ups using the WA Validation tool kit. So I have actually purchased another Form Validation Dreamweaver Extension (from a competitior) which I have found to be much more versatile than what you currently offer. Having said that this other validation tool, doesn't reformat dates. And I cant use the two together.

So I am going to keep using this other Validation tool, so this brings me back to my original question regarding the DataAssist Insert Record behavior.

Why, when I enter a date into a Date field, using "Date MS Access" Data Type, the Date will enter in the correct format (ie dd/mm/yyyy) if the day portion is greater than 12 (ie 13 March). For any dates that range from the 1st to the 12th of the month, get screwed up and put into mm/dd/yyyy format.

There is obviously an issue with the way your Data Assist Insert Record Behaviour works.

I am using Dreamweaver CS4, DataAssist 2.0.5 (Current Version) ASP with MS Access
