Can I use my search terms to generate a title on the results page?

I would like to put a title on my results page which is generated from the search results. I have a number of search criteria - mostly drop down boxes on the page. The first search is project, so I want the project name on the top of the results page. I've created a recordset with a WHERE clause ProjectID = $_GET['S_ItemProjectID']. But once the query string is cleared it no longer generates the title and I'm having to reinput my search criteria to make it appear. I'm guessing the search filter is stored in a session somewhere as the results on the page are still filtered. Can you tell me where its stored and whether I can call on it to generate my title? My results page is attached for reference.
