Update for MySQLi Compatibility! ALL EXTENSIONS! (ooops - maybe not)

I see that "quietly" Web Assist has provided an update to all of their extensions that provide MySQLi compatibility so they can be used with the new MySQLi extension.

1: Thank you for the very rapid update...
2: BIG, BIG thank you for NOT making this a paid update.

However, I have one big question/concern before I update to the latest version.
Will the update work with MySQL connections as well - is it backward compatible?

If not, here are my two largest concerns.

1: People using the deprecated MySQL functions will no longer receive any updates... Not a big problem for new features, but a huge problem when the update fixes bugs or security matters.

2: In order to maintain older sites using MySQL functions, we would need to run a second version of Dreamweaver (an older version) with the older version of your extensions. For those that don't have an older version of Dreamweaver - they would likely have to run a 2nd computer as continually uninstalling and reinstalling extensions is not an elegant option.
