Framework Builder Themes

My theme question is: i set up a site with PowerCMS and have allot of pages and not exactly sure if all of the page links are working like they should be. I am wondering if this would be a good time for turning my template into a theme?

The thing i am worried about is i only have one template which is the home page and all the rest of the content pages are different then the home but same to their own, if i create a theme and applied it to all of my pages will the theme automatically just make it look identical as the home page? How do you assign what content to leave out of the theme template?

Does starting a theme throw powerCMS off in any way? I want to be careful because my CMS is working so great right now i don't want to ruin this streak of good luck.
