any conditions that are in the recordset just give you a starting result set that the search will filter further.
I cant really answer your question except to ask another question:
Does the recordset as written give the starting result set you want?
If the answer to that question is yes, then you don't need to edit the recordset.
If the answer is no, than you need to edit the recordset to give the starting result set you want.
