I have created a database on my local test server, and on my remote server, but how do I connect these two?

Melissa

I have created a database on my local test server, and on my remote server, but how do I connect these two?

I don't normally use a test server, but couldn't get the PowerCMS to work if I didn't, so I have set up that on my PC, and added the database, I view it and it all works correctly. I set up a database on my remote server (Heart Internet) and uploaded everything, initially it came up with a blank page. I edited the Connections/PowerCMS Connection.php, to see the database on the remote server and it worked, I edited the page there through the admin section. Great... I thought... but when I went into Dreamweaver to edit the page it automatically re-uploaded the connection page and it went back to a blank screen, I re edited the file and re-uploaded, it works again, but I'm not seeing the same thing through Dreamweaver as I do in the browser. I have tried Defining the PowerCMSConnection, with the settings for the remote server, but it will not connect and comes up with an error. Any advice/guidance would be much appreciated.
