Website with older extensions

Website with older extensions

I have a dynamic website that is several years old and it uses the older extension probably not supported anymore. Since php has changed so much, the website doesn't work that well. I am just wondering if there is a way to convert all that php to version 5.4 or will I have to re-do the whole site using the new Data Bridge extension? Several of the extensions now in Data Bridge were used, back then they were all separate! Just looking for an easier way to do this.
Thanks
