Insert single record - date field error

Insert single record - date field error

I had worked with Ray to create an insert record behavior on the login page that would insert the user id, and date into my db. I decided to add MD5 to my password, and had to recreate the page, and am unable to figure out why the date isn't posting.

The user ID is posting correctly, the date column is showing 0000-00-00

in my DB - column run_Date is set to "Date"

Insert Record
Trigger : logged into users
user_Id - numeric - <?php echo $_SESSION['SecurityAssist_user_Id']; ?>
run_Date - Date - <? php echo (date('Y-m-d'));?>

Thank you for your help, I realize I'm in desperate need of some programming lessons - your patience is greatly appreciated!
