jquery delete clarification

Hi, I wanted to implement a delete confirmation, whereupon I have a recordset with a repeat region and a corresponding delete button for each individual record that is displayed. I want to use the JQueryUI library. I have look around on Google, but just cannot find answers.

on the official JQueryUI website (under this link: http://jqueryui.com/dialog/#modal-confirmation) I have found the code for the Delete modal. However it opens automatically. How would I go about assigning it to each individual delete button? I have tried numerous times and even thought came close, have failed. Also at one point I got something working, However, what was happening is the very first record on the page called the JQueryUI modal box, but all the other records within the same repeat region didn't do anything. Just puzzled by it but wanting to learn it somehow.

There a lot of examples I have found, while searching Google, however it seems the examples (a) make the JQueryUi modal box open on pageload and (b) I just cannot find examples of how to assign the JQueryUI modal event to a link on the page.
