Image Resizer - can it work between domain and subdomain

Image Resizer - can it work between domain and subdomain

I have a domain that hosts my custom built cms using DataAssist and other WA extensions. Via the cms insert/update/delete forms, I upload images to a folder called "images" on the main domain (www.domainname.com/images)

Then I have two sites that need to use the images as below:
www.domainname.com
subdomain.domainname.com

Problem is, i need to use Image Resizer on both the front-end pages of the domain and subdomain sites. I cannot seem to get it to work on the subdomain's front-end pages. Works fine on the main domain's pages, just not on the pages of the subdomain.

Is there a way to get this to work? Do I need dedicated hosting or some sort of special setup to get Image Resizer to work across to a subdomain?
