Add to cart buttons are killing my session variables

I have attached the page that I am having problems with. It allows a customer to specify the amounts of various foods they want to have in their product. I collect these with dropdown menus. Once they have totaled 100% they are directed to select the size of product they want. PayPal's sandbox has been down so we have been testing using a 0.01 dummy item to complete a purchase. when I use that dummy item the products are processed through the payment system and the values they entered are sent in the email receipt but when someone uses one of the Add to cart buttons on the page the values (held in session variables) for the amounts to mix are dropped.

Here are the two pages that require this custom blending, the testing ATC button page and the script I am using to display my session variables.

After someone logs in the customer information displays and is retained after using the ATC buttons but for some reason I haven't figured out the session variables holding the custom blends are not being held.
