Problem with "Slideshow wide" and pictures in PNG format

I have a page with "Slideshow wide" on the front page. The pictures are PNG with transparency. The pictures vote through. There are 5 pictures in the slideshow. You see it especially well when all the images have been shown once and the first image is displayed for the second time. It does not look particularly good.

All images have exactly the same size.

Are there any known issues with PNG images in Power Gallery?

I have tested the same images in Image Rotator Magic from Project Seven and all looks good there.
