Insert record - can't tell if it's still creating the session variable

Insert record - can't tell if it's still creating the session variable

I"l start by saying that I'm still using a non-supported version of Data Assist for DW CC. So feel free to tell me to take a hike or upgrade.

But,the actual question does apply to previous and supported versions of DW. The problem is I create the insert record, which works, but a recordset on the following page does not work when using the Session Variable.

After creating the insert page, the Session variable does display in the bindings tab. Does that indicate that the page when executed will indeed create this session variable, or is there more to it? I did create test pages, and did a drag and drop from the bindings panel with no results. I have also read the threads about how to display all active session vars which I will try.

The dilemma is if I do upgrade my extensions, and DW is just going to ignore them then that's certainly not your fault, but I just don't know what direction to go in. And I say again, I can only imagine the work you guys must be putting in trying to keep up with Adobe's "advancements". On one hand, I see the business opportunity to continue to offer compatible products, but you're still at their mercy at the end of the day. Build you own editor, I'll be the first in line.
