content Server path incorrect PowerCMS 2.1.1

Hi,
I have the above set up and CAN access backend and change content there. However, on the front end I get the following :

Warning: include(/cms/WA_CMS/addtosite.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home3/oscarp/public_html/index.php on line 112

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening '/cms/WA_CMS/addtosite.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home3/oscarp/public_html/index.php on line 112

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wa_getcmscontent() in /home3/xxxx/public_html/index.php on line 113

Which seems to indicate a path issue. The CMS content is in a folder called cms on the server. I looked at some forum posts and it suggests putting the following on the wa_globals.php page :

<?php
$WAGLOBAL_Site_Name = "XXXX" ;

$WAGLOBAL_remoteRoot = "/cms/"; //relative path to your PowerCMS files on your remote server. remote server.

// Admin Settings
$WAGLOBAL_Admin_UserName = "xxxx" ;
$WAGLOBAL_Admin_Password = "xxxx" ;
?>

which I tried and it made no difference. Then I tried another suggestion of looking on the database but there was no path settings on the database.

Can you tell me what I need to do to get the page working?
Thanks

***UPDATE***
so, I reuploaded and then changed the URL on the home page to an absolute URL. This got rid of 2 of the errors but I still have this one :

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wa_getcmscontent() in /home3/xxxx/public_html/index.php on line 113

How can I make this an absolute URL. I can't change it on the wa_globals or the database (ie wa_settings table of the PowerCMS database, the PCMS Remote Root should be set as: /cms/ according to one post but there is no pcms remote root in wa_settings)

Also, on the settings page of the admin panel, i get the following :

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /home3/xxxx/public_html/cms/WA_Globals/WA_Globals.php:71) in /home3/xxxx/public_html/cms/WA_SecurityAssist/Helper_PHP.php on line 5

And now I get the following when I try to login (and it won't let me now!) :

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at /home3/oscarp/public_html/cms/WA_Globals/WA_Globals.php:71) in /home3/oscarp/public_html/cms/WA_SecurityAssist/Helper_PHP.php on line 5
