captcha validation

I am trying to validate the captcha attempting to use the tutorial at: http://assets.webassist.com/html-help/331/form_toolkit_validations_captcha.html. On the form, action=p_thankyou.php. I get the captcha to insert on the form without a problem (I think).

I'm assuming I have to add the validation code to "p_thankyou.php" but I don't see Security_Code_1 from the posted form or any posted form elements at all as seen in the 4th screen shot of the tutorial. I only see the session variable and if you set the session variable = to the session variable instead of the form POST it will always validate.

I have attached both files. The captcha is on p_contact.php but I have removed the but the flawed validation from p_thankyou.php

What am I doing wrong?
