kfm issue

I have a customer with Power CMS and he's having a problem that sounds just like this as well, it just started a day or two ago. If you wait long enough, eventually the icons and directories populate, but occasionally they never do.

Customer's Particulars:
IE 10 (We are also using Compatibility mode to get the content fields to show up.)
Windows 8
Microsoft Security Essentials.
