Hi. Neo thanks for all that info...I am am using the latest builds of WebAssist extensions and they use the latest CKEditor 4 but cannot get the file upload link to display in the KFM browser window (even if I select IE 7, 8,9, or 10). 
I would like some clarification on that. I believe HTMLEditor uses 3.5.2. I upgraded mine to 3.6.x a while back. There are some forum threads discussing doing that. I updated to the latest WADB when it came out and the source files from that appear to be 3.5.2. In addition, ckeditor 4 is only a few months old.
LOL I wonder if its possible to edit the KFM source code to display a WebAssist file upload behvaiour button there and then use the KFM database tables to create records there :)Chris

I think that may be the hard road to get there. If you're storing file information in a database, use the file form field and file upload behaviors.
I did get KCFinder working and I'll be switching to that.
